Alright Shine readers: I’m attempting a blogging New Year’s resolution to not talk about Jen and Angelina as much. Not that it’s really my fault, because that crap is everywhere you look and it’s my job to report, but quite frankly, I’m bored of the alleged catfight and can find some other more interesting things to focus on. In light of this, I thought I’d post one final thought from the man who started it all, Mr. Brad Pitt. He’s on the cover of this month’s W magazine, and he too seems exhausted with the subject and wants to set the record straight once and for all.
Remember when Jen called Angelina “uncool” for talking about falling in love with Brad on the set of their movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”? Brad doesn’t blame Aniston. “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart,” he says. “I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created. We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”
How very mature. We’re liking all parties involved more already! Oh and as for the alleged affair—that’s bogus too. "What people don’t understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year,” explains Brad. “We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.”
So is it over now? Probably not, but our hands are washed. THE END! [W]
